EDMONTON, Alberta — The Arizona Coyotes are off to an impressive start early in the season.

Derek Stepan scored at 2:01 of overtime and the Cheap Arizona Coyotes Jerseys beat the Cheap Edmonton Oilers Jerseys 3-2 on Monday night.

Stepan took a feed from Nick Schmaltz and picked the corner on goalie Mikko Koskinen for the winner.

“I think our group has been doing that (grinding) all year, it’s a big part of our group is our ability to bounce back, whether it be game to game or even in game,” Stepan said of Arizona’s mental resilience after the Oilers tied it up late. “Maybe when we don’t have our `A’ stuff, we’re able to have a push back within a few minutes.”

Michael Grabner and Carl Soderberg also scored for the Coyotes, who have won four of their last five.

“It was not a great start, them scoring right away, but back-to-backs you have to rely on all the lines and everyone was contributing and that’s a really tough line to play against and they have last change,” said Coyotes goalie Darcy Kuemper, who made 26 saves. “I thought everyone, whoever was out there did a great job.”

Connor McDavid and Gaetan Haas scored for the Oilers, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.

“We know we could have been a little bit better at the beginning of the game, but we found a way to get that second goal in the third,” said Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse. “Sure, we’ve been doing it a little too often where we have to find ways at the end of the game to win or force overtime, but over the course of 82 games it’s going to happen. It just so happens that it happened in a cluster at the beginning of the year.”

The Oilers only needed 91 seconds to get on the scoreboard as McDavid had a highlight-reel goal, moving past defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson and blowing past Kuemper to record his seventh goal of the season.

Grabner beat Koskinen stick side with a wrist shot to tie the game 1-1 3:30 into the first.

Soderberg took advantage of a turnover by Edmonton defender Joel Persson to make it 2-1 for the Coyotes at about the midway mark of the second, beating Koskinen high to the glove side.

Haas tied it with 4:41 left in the third period. He tipped a shot by Matt Benning past Kuemper for his first career NHL goal, forcing overtime.

“It’s good that we score this goal, and we get a point,” said the 27-year-old Swiss center, playing his first season in the NHL. “Maybe in the end it’s the point we need. I think it’s a good point.”

It was the first of four meetings between the Pacific Division rivals, with each team winning both road games last year. … Edmonton has struggled with the Coyotes for quite some time, coming into the game with just seven wins in regulation against Arizona in their last 45 games. .. Kuemper entered the game having only allowed three goals on one occasion out of nine games this season. .. It was Oilers head coach Dave Tippett’s first game against his old Coyotes squad. He coached Arizona for eight seasons (2009-10 to 2016-17). … Alex Chiasson got an opportunity on the top line with Draisaitl and McDavid in an attempt to jumpstart his production. But, he was replaced by Sam Gagner as the game went on.

LOS ANGELES — Drew Doughty scored with 16.6 remaining in overtime and the Cheap Los Angeles Kings Jerseysbeat the Cheap Chicago Blackhawks Jerseys 4-3 on Saturday night.

Michael Amadio, Kyle Clifford and Matt Roy also scored for the Kings, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Jack Campbell made 24 saves.

David Kampf had a goal and Dominik Kubalik scored on the power play for the Blackhawks, who are 1-4-2 in their past seven games. Corey Crawford made 40 saves.

Crawford stopped the initial shot during a 2-on-1 break late in overtime, but the puck trickled free from under the Blackhawks goalie. Doughty was able to tap in the loose puck for his fourth goal of the season.

Amadio got to the back post to backhand in a pass by Dustin Brown at 12:37 of the third to put the Kings up 3-2. Jonathan Toews tied it at 3-3 with a wrist shot from the left circle with 1:39 remaining.

The Kings went up 2-0 early in the first period on goals by Clifford at 2:50 and Roy at 4:29. The Blackhawks cut it to 2-1 on a power-play goal by Kubalik at 8:25. Kampf tied it at 2-all when Campbell misplayed the puck under pressure from Kubalik, giving Kampf a shot into an open net for his second goal of the season at 17:23.

Crawford came out of the game and went back to the dressing room after Roy’s goal, but returned with 10:13 left in the period. Crawford had taken a puck to the mask on a shot by Kings defenseman Kurtis MacDermid at 2:41.

Game notes
Brown had two assists. . Blackhawks D Adam Boqvist, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 draft, made his Cheap NHL Jerseys debut. . Kubalik’s goal ended an 0-for-21 drought on the power play dating to Oct. 18 against Columbus.

INDIANAPOLIS — His sixth Cheap NBA Jerseys season has been a slow transition in getting acclimated with a new team, so T.J. Warren admittedly was pressing too much.

On a Sunday night when the Cheap Indiana Pacers Jerseys had a makeshift lineup with three injured starters sidelined, Warren adjusted well to playing a more prominent role with a season-high 26 points in a 108-95 home win over Chicago.

“It’s definitely been a process,” said Warren, acquired in the offseason after five years with Phoenix. “I’m just trying to figure out how I can fit in and where I can be effective on this team. It’s a whole new system with guys who have been together for like a month and a half now. We’re still learning each other.”

Warren, a 14.4-point scorer with the Suns, was averaging 12.8 points for the Pacers (3-3) after a humbling 3-point effort on 1-of-8 shooting in a Friday home win over Cleveland. But this night the shots were falling from the outset as he scored 14 first-half points to help the Pacers take a 13-point lead at the break.

“It’s more just him trying to find his rhythm and get a feel for where his opportunities are coming,” said Pacers coach Nate McMillan. “We’re still early. It’s going to take some time with this group getting a feel for each other.”

A Pacers squad already missing its best player — All-Star guard Victor Oladipo has yet to make his season debut in his recovery from knee surgery — was also without forward/center Myles Turner (ankle) and center Domantas Sabonis (calf contusion).

That meant McMillan was tinkering with lineups he hadn’t even tried in practice, but they worked as the Pacers won their third straight game and sixth in a row against the Bulls (2-5).

“Guys have to be ready to step up and play when that opportunity presents itself,” McMillan said. “I thought tonight, as a group, we did.”

Point guard Malcom Brogdon had 22 points and seven of the Pacers’ team-high 28 assists.

“Having Victor out, you know the type of player he is as an All-Star, and still being able to win games and put it together, it’s been huge for us,” Brogdon said. “But to have Myles and Domas out and still get this win, it’s huge for our confidence.”

Reserve forward TJ Leaf took advantage of extra minutes as a backup center with his second career double-double, 13 points and 15 rebounds. The third-year pro had entered with seasonal averages of 2.8 points and 2.5 rebounds.

The Bulls (2-5), winless in five road games, lamented a lost opportunity against an opponent missing key players.

“We’ve been the short-handed team that went out and scrapped it and junkyard-dogged it and beat teams that maybe we shouldn’t have beaten,” said Bulls coach Jim Boylen. “We haven’t been the team that’s favored very often. And maybe that’s the lesson we’ve got to learn, that whether you’re favored or not, or whether they’re hurt or not, you’ve got to bring it.”

Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 21 points and Wendell Carter Jr. added 20.

“We’ve got to take advantage of opportunities like this,” said Bulls reserve forward Thaddeus Young, who had 12 points. “I told the team in the postgame meeting this is what we call a trap game. We just didn’t take advantage.”

TIP-INS

Bulls: LaVine joined select company on Friday in his 93rd game in bumping his career point total to 2,020. The only other Bulls to score more than 2,000 points in fewer games were Hall of Famer Michael Jordan (73 games) and Derrick Rose (86), according to Elias Sports Bureau.

Pacers: Rookie reserve center Goga Bitadze, drafted 18th overall, is making the most of his first extended playing time with nine points against the Bulls after scoring 10 against Cleveland on Friday. Prior to that, he had just two points in two games and did not play in two others.

FAMILIAR NAMES

At one point in the first half, the Pacers’ lineup featured nothing but T.J.’s and Holidays with center TJ Leaf, forward T.J. Warren, forward T.J. McConnell, guard Justin Holiday and guard Aaron Holiday.

BOSTON — Jayson Tatum made a big play at a big moment for the Cheap Boston Celtics Jerseys.

Then he made it sound very routine.

Tatum hit a turnaround jumper with 1.3 seconds remaining, and the Celtics beat the Cheap New York Knicks Jerseys 104-102 on Friday night for their fourth straight victory.

“It feels great, but I don’t want to get too excited,” Tatum said. “The guys that I look up to in this league, they’ve do things like this all the time.”

Tatum finished with 24 points. Kemba Walker scored 23 of his 33 points in the second half, and Gordon Hayward had 13 points and nine boards.

Walker called Tatum’s basket “a huge, big-time shot.”

“I’m happy we went to him,” he said. “Hopefully that keeps him confident. That can really just get something going for us. That was an unbelievable play.”

Unlike a 118-95 rout at Madison Square Garden the previous Saturday, Boston was pushed by New York until the very end of a game that featured 24 lead changes and 10 ties.

Marcus Morris, who played the last two seasons with the Celtics before signing with New York as a free agent, led the Knicks with 29 points. Morris made four foul shots in the final minute, and then hit a tying 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds left.

“We stayed locked in all game long,” said Knicks rookie RJ Barrett, who finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. “The whole fourth quarter we was fighting, and that’s the identity of our team. We did that tonight.”

After Morris’ late 3, the Celtics called timeout and Marcus Smart inbounded the ball to Tatum in the corner. He caught the pass, turned around and pulled up for a shot from the corner that was initially called a 3-pointer. It was quickly overturned during the timeout, but it didn’t matter. The Celtics broke up a long inbound pass and the Knicks didn’t get off another shot.

Morris congratulated his former teammate after the game.

“It was good to see him get his first one (game-winning shot),” Morris said. “I wish it could have been against somebody else, but hey — it’s the NBA.”

WELCOME WALKER

It was the third straight game with 30-plus points by Walker, who scored 32 in the previous two and finished with his best game since signing with the Celtics as a free agent.

Walker also hit all 14 of his foul shots and added five assists and six rebounds.

“We stuck with the game,” Walker said. “It came down to a last-second shot, but (we’ll) take wins any way you can get them.”

LONG BALL

The Knicks led 50-49 at halftime and opened the third quarter with a 3-pointer by Frank Ntilikina, starting a period full of shots from beyond the arc. Both clubs hit five 3-pointers in the quarter before the Celtics carried a 75-74 lead into the fourth.

The back-and-forth continued in the final period. Boston regained the lead on a three-point play by Walker, putting the Celtics up 87-86 with 5:19 remaining.

Hayward followed with a 3-pointer and Tatum hit a pair of foul shots to stretch the lead to 92-86 with 4:14 left to play. The Knicks pulled within a point at 92-91, then again at 95-94 on a 3-pointer by Morris, but the Celtics answered with a pair of free throws by Walker and a 3-pointer by Tatum with 1:50 remaining, giving Boston a 99-94 lead.

TIP-INS

Knicks: Bobby Portis had 13 points and seven rebounds. … Ntilikina scored 10. He started at point guard, where the Knicks were without Elfrid Payton (hamstring), Dennis Smith Jr. (death in the family) and Kadeem Allen (knee).

Celtics: Rookie Grant Williams scored 10 points.

SAN DIEGO — The Cheap San Diego Padres Jerseys introduced their new manager and hinted about old uniform colors they’ll wear in 2020. It’s easy to predict which of those the team’s weary, patient fans are more excited about.

When Jayce Tingler was presented at a news conference on Thursday, he was wearing the club’s classic brown jersey, which is expected to return next season.

The 38-year-old is a first-time big league manager and takes over a team that last had a winning record in 2010. San Diego has not hired a manager with prior big league experience since Jack McKeon in 1988.

“I may not be perfect,” Tingler said of his lack of experience. “But I have managed a lot of games in my mind.”

Andy Green was fired Sept. 21 after going 274-366 in four seasons.

Padres general manager A.J. Preller’s relationship with Tingler dates to 2015 and their time together with the Cheap Texas Rangers Jerseys.

“I think the easy thing to do sometimes when you make a decision and it doesn’t get the result you’re looking for is going 180 degrees in a different direction,” Preller said. “But we understood what we were looking for and type of person we were looking for.”

Ron Fowler, one of the Padres’ owners, said he thought the Padres “sucked” and were an “embarrassment” in during the season’s second half. The team lost at least 90 games for the fourth straight year and finished 36 games behind the first-place Cheap Los Angeles Dodgers Jerseys in the NL West despite agreeing to a $300 million, 10-year contract with star infielder Manny Machado.

“We’ve got to win now,” Fowler said.

Tingler became the career hits leader at the University of Missouri and was a minor league outfielder for four seasons, never rising above Double-A. He spent the past 14 years with the Rangers, managing in the Dominican Winter League, Dominican Summer League and Arizona Rookie League. He also served as Texas’ minor league coordinator, assistant general manager and interim bench coach.

“Look, I’m going to make mistakes, and my guess is the players are going to make mistakes, so we already have common ground,” Tingler said. “The National League is going to be new to me, and I’ll need to learn, need to grow.”

Tingler said not many managers in their initial job inherit a roster with talent such as Manny Machado, first baseman Eric Hosmer and closer Kirby Yates and an exciting young shortstop in Fernando Tatis Jr. Needs include starting pitching.

“It’s a players’ game, and if you don’t have the talent, it is very hard,” co-owner Peter Seidler said. “And this hiring is just one piece of the puzzle. But I’m completely confident we got the right guy.”

San Diego has never won a World Series.

“I’ve been around a lot of very good Cheap Baseball Jerseys men, and I’m maybe a little bit new school and a lot of bit old school,” Tingler said. “I’m just really interested in working with a staff that can build relationships with players, push players and get the best out of them. If we’re able to do that and double down on some of those fundamentals, we have a chance to be ultra-successful here. I cannot wait to be a part of a group that brings a championship to the city of San Diego.”

CLEVELAND — The Indians on Thursday exercised starter Corey Kluber’s $17.5 million contract option for next season.

Team president Chris Antonetti said last month that the Indians would pick up Kluber’s option. The club formally made the move Thursday while declining options on second baseman Jason Kipnis and reliever Dan Otero for 2020.

Kluber, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, didn’t pitch for the Indians after May 1, when the right-hander sustained a broken arm when he was hit by a comebacker. He was nearing a return in the minor leagues before an oblique injury ended his comeback.

The 33-year-old Kluber is expected to be ready for the start of spring training.

The Indians have parted ways with Kipnis, a two-time All-Star. He had a $16.5 million option for next season. Antonetti hasn’t ruled out re-signing the 32-year-old, who has been with Cleveland his entire career.

Also, left-hander Oliver Perez will make $3 million next season. The reliever had a vesting option for 2020 that was triggered by games pitched, subject to a successful physical.

San Diego declined a $2.5 million option on RHP Adam Warren, who gets a $500,000 buyout, and a $2 million option on LHP Aaron Loup, who gets a $200,000 buyout. Both will become free agents.

MIAMI — The Cheap Miami Marlins Jerseys have declined their $16 million option on infielder Starlin Castro for 2020 and will pay him a $1 million buyout, allowing him to become a free agent.

The move, confirmed Friday, had been expected as the Marlins rebuild.

The Cheap New York Mets Jerseys have hired former All-Star Carlos Beltran as their new manager, the team announced Friday evening.

Beltran’s deal is for three years with an option for a fourth season. A news conference is planned for Monday.
A nine-time All-Star during 20 major league seasons, Beltran played for the Mets from 2005 to 2011. This will be his first job as a major league manager.

He interviewed to become Cheap New York Yankees Jerseys manager after the 2017 season, when Aaron Boone was hired, and spent this season as an adviser to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman.

“At the beginning, it’s a little bit overwhelming. There’s a lot of information that you have to digest,” Beltran said after he was interviewed by the Yankees two years ago. “Being a player and being able to play this game for such a long time, I have seen a lot, and I have seen the importance of what players need in the clubhouse.”

Beltran, 42, replaces Mickey Callaway and becomes the first minority to fill one of the eight major league manager vacancies this offseason. Those jobs filled are: the Cheap Chicago Cubs Jerseys (David Ross), Cheap Kansas City Royals Jerseys (Mike Matheny), the Cheap Los Angeles Angels Jerseys (Joe Maddon), Cheap Philadelphia Phillies Jerseys (Joe Girardi) and San Diego (Jayce Tingler). Cheap Pittsburgh Pirates Jerseysand Cheap San Francisco Giants Jerseys remain open.

Callaway was hired by general manager Sandy Alderson and led New York to a disappointing 77-85 record in 2018, his first season. Brodie Van Wagenen replaced Alderson as GM and proclaimed the Mets the favorites to win the National League East in 2019. But New York fell to 41-51 with a loss in its first game following the All-Star break and could climb only to the periphery of the wild-card race before finishing 86-76, third in the division behind Philadelphia and World Series champion Cheap Washington Nationals Jerseys.

Beltran is the fourth manager born in Puerto Rico among the current group, joining Boston’s Alex Cora, Toronto’s Charlie Montoyo and Washington’s Dave Martinez. Martinez and Cora have led their teams to the past two World Series titles.

Beltran signed a $119 million, seven-year contract with the Mets in January 2005 and helped them win the NL East in 2006, but he took a called third strike with the bases loaded against Adam Wainwright, ending New York’s 3-1 loss to St. Louis in Game 7 of the 2006 NL Championship Series.

Beltran got into a flap with Mets management in January 2010 when he underwent surgery on his right knee without team approval. Beltran went to Colorado to be examined by Dr. Richard Steadman, who operated. Assistant general manager John Ricco said at the time the team wanted to discuss Steadman’s diagnosis and possibly seek a third opinion but was never given the opportunity.

With New York out of contention in 2011, the Mets traded Beltran to San Francisco that July for pitcher Zack Wheeler, who tied for the team lead in wins in 2019.

Beltran finished with a .279 average, 435 home runs, 1,587 RBIs and 312 stolen bases for Kansas City (1998-04), Houston (2004, 2017), the Mets (2005-11), San Francisco (2011), St. Louis (2012-13), the Yankees (2014-16) and Texas (2016).

Castro, 29, batted .270 while playing all 162 games this year and had career-high totals of 22 homers and 86 RBI.

Castro is a 10-year veteran who spent two seasons with Miami.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. — Defensive back Darius Slay still doesn’t care whether or not he was traded from the Cheap Detroit Lions Jerseys earlier this week. He heard the rumors and ignored them. He spent a day which could be stressful for others, with futures in the balance and all, playing video games — getting better at Call of Duty and NBA 2K.

If the Lions decided they didn’t want him anymore, so be it. He was OK with that. But don’t take that the wrong way, either. Darius Slay has no problems staying, either. And has no issues being around for a long time if that’s what ends up happening. Including his entire career.

“I wouldn’t mind,” Slay said Wednesday. “I wouldn’t mind playing my whole career, who wouldn’t want to play on just one team. But it’s a whole business.”

BEREA, Ohio — Odell Beckham Jr. came to the defense of Baker Mayfield on Thursday, calling some criticism of the embattled Cheap Cleveland Browns Jerseys quarterback unfair, while noting that others on the team need to play better.

“You can’t sit here and say it’s all on him. You have to take a look at everything going on around him,” Beckham said. “Obviously, he has to play better. I have to player better. … We all need to do better. Can’t sit back and be like, ‘It’s Baker’s fault.’ I feel like that’s the easiest thing for us to do. I’ve been in situations where one person is getting the blame, and the rest of the people are quiet to kind of stay out of the fire.

“I’m going to jump in the fire with him. I’ll be the first one. Some of these losses are on me. I need to be in the right place at the right time. I’m going to do better. And that’s what I plan to do for the rest of the season.”

The Browns are 2-5, with Mayfield tied for the Cheap NFL Jerseys lead with Tampa Bay’s Jameis Winston with 12 interceptions. Beckham, meanwhile, has only one touchdown catch in his first season with Cleveland and is averaging career lows with only 4.9 receptions and 69.7 yards per game.

Coming off a loss at New England, Mayfield got into a testy exchange Wednesday with a reporter before abruptly walking out of his media availability. Beckham said he’d already talked about the incident with Mayfield, referencing a Drake lyric as a lesson — “You only lose when you fight back” — while also offering understanding.

“Nobody likes to feel like you’re being poked at or prodded at, especially not a guy like that,” Beckham said. “I’ve been through that journey already, I’ve been through this fire. That’s a part of me that’s able to help him in a way. This is a kid who cares about Cheap Football Jerseys , cares about winning. Whatever people make him out to be just because of his personality — if we were winning and he was still doing it, we’d all be here laughing. Because we’re losing, we want to kind of poke at him a little.

“I’m going to be the first one here to defend him every single time. I’ve always got his back. I know what it’s like. I’ve been there. … I understand how we’re looking for the negative. But he wants to win. He’s upset he’s not winning, or he hasn’t done to the best of his ability, that’s upsetting. Just upsetting. We want to be great.”

Despite the disappointing start, Mayfield maintained Wednesday that he still believes the Browns will turn the season around. Beckham piggybacked on that, specifically noting that he and Mayfield will begin to click through the air soon enough.

“The more games we have together, the better we’ll be, but it’s time for us to turn it on,” Beckham said. “You have a highly regarded quarterback [who] I think is a phenomenal player, and I just want to be able to help him in every which way I can.

“I have no doubt in my mind that at some point in time it’s going to be everything that we all talked about.”

Slay knew that before last week, when the Lions traded safety Quandre Diggs to Seattle — setting off a raw, honest media session two days later where Slay let his feelings about loyalty be known. He’s always known the business side of it, told to him early on in his career by his mentors in the locker room.

But now with the trade deadline come and gone and Slay being with the Lions for at least the rest of 2019, he’s ready to play — although he wouldn’t say if he’ll be available this week against the Cheap Oakland Raiders Jerseys (Sunday, 4:05 ET, FOX) as he’s nursing a hamstring injury.

How much longer Slay plays — and how much longer it’s in Detroit — he doesn’t know. He said he hasn’t thought about his playing future, insisting the only future he thinks about is the one with his family. And he’s not sure how many more years he wants to play football, either.

“I ain’t trying to play that long,” Slay said. “I ain’t Rod [Woodson] or Charles [Woodson], none of them. I ain’t trying to play no 20 years.”

Rod Woodson, who mentored Slay early in his career, played 17 NFL seasons. Charles Woodson played 18 years. Neither played their entire careers with one team.

Slay said he wasn’t sure how much longer he wants to play, but that it won’t be 20. Not close. When asked if 10 was a realistic number — he’s in his seventh season now, he said that would be “a great number.”

“But whatever the Lord bless me with,” Slay said. “How I’m feeling at Year 10, but whatever. Twenty for sure, no. Not even thinking close to that.”

Money isn’t an issue — Slay referenced good financial standing multiple times, including saying “I’m a millionaire, dude,” when asked if he didn’t at least care a little about whether or not he got dealt. No one in the organization talked to him about his comments or about whether or not he was on the trade block.

He said he wasn’t fined by the organization for his comments, either, and if they had done so, “it would have been a problem, too.”

Instead, Slay is going to continue to say what he wants, when he wants. As he said — the media asks him questions and he answers them. It’s just him being honest. It’s why he still says he didn’t care whether or not he was traded.

And he didn’t care if what he said last week might have gotten dealt as well.

“The whole point in time, y’all didn’t understand it, that I didn’t care if I did,” Slay said. “It is what it is, a whole business. All I was doing here is playing ball and trying to win games.”

DENVER — Down two goals late, Jonathan Huberdeau and the Cheap Florida Panthers Jerseys didn’t play desperate. They just played determined.

Huberdeau scored 29 seconds into overtime after he tied the game late in regulation, and the Panthers beat the injury-riddled Cheap Colorado Avalanche Jerseys 4-3 on Wednesday night.

“We don’t need to panic, even if we’re down two goals,” Huberdeau said. “We’re good. We know we can come back every game.”

Huberdeau sent a backhanded shot between the pads of Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer for the win. He tied the game with 1:30 remaining on a wrist shot through traffic.

Florida trailed 3-1 with around eight minutes remaining. That’s when Aleksander Barkov picked a good spot for his first goal of the season, a power-play tally that started the Panthers on the comeback trail.

“Finally, I did something,” Barkov cracked. “I’m happy.”

Colton Sceviour scored a first-period goal for the Panthers, who went 2-1-1 on a four-game trip. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 27 shots, including a glove save near the end of the third period.

Matt Nieto and Joonas Donskoi scored first-period goals, and Nathan MacKinnon added another in the third to make it a two-goal lead with 12:23 remaining. The Avs were without two big offensive pieces in Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog due to lower-body injuries.

Grubauer stopped 34 shots, but couldn’t hold the late lead. Huberdeau scored the equalizer with Bobrovsky pulled for an extra skater.

“I just thought they were hungrier and playing a puck-possession game in the offensive zone and we didn’t close out enough plays,” Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said. “We have to be better at the defending aspect of that.”

Midway through the third period, Panthers center Jayce Hawryluk was reaching for the puck when he took a big hit from Colorado defenseman Nikita Zadorov that sent him crashing into the boards. Hawryluk got up slowly and retreated to the dressing room. Zadorov later got into a skirmish with Dryden Hunt. After being separated, Zadorov had words with the Florida bench before being sent off for roughing.

Panthers coach Joel Quenneville didn’t have an update on Hawryluk. He didn’t have an opinion on the hit, either.

“I haven’t seen it yet,” said Quenneville, who coached the Avalanche from 2005-08.

MacKinnon had a goal and an assist to give him at least a point in all 12 games this season. He matched Joe Sakic (1988-89) for the fourth-longest point streak to start a season in franchise history. The top mark is held by Mats Sundin, who had at least a point in 30 straight games to begin the 1992-93 season.

The Avalanche got gritty goals in the first period from Nieto and Donskoi. Nieto poked in a puck while falling to the ice, and Donskoi knocked in another one near the net to give Colorado a 2-1 lead.

Things turned a little testy at the end of the second period. Hunt stabbed at a puck after Grubauer grabbed it. Cale Makar didn’t like it and shoved Hunt. Then Grubauer pushed Hunt in the helmet. Meanwhile, away from the play, Nazem Kadri and MacKenzie Weegar began fighting. They both drew 5-minute penalties.

Given Colorado’s rash of injuries, Bednar juggled his lines — all except the third unit. Nieto, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Matt Calvert quickly found a connection that Bednar doesn’t want to disrupt. The trio combined on Nieto’s first goal of the game. They have a combined 21 points.

“That’s a game where we have to walk away with two points,” Nieto said.

Grubauer turned in a big save in the first period when a puck deflected off the skate of Avalanche defenseman Mark Barberio and was headed into the net. Grubauer swung his arm around to swat it away.

Makar celebrated his 21st birthday Wednesday but didn’t have a point. His nine assists in October were the most in a month for a rookie defenseman in Avalanche history.

Panthers D Aaron Ekblad had two assists. … Bellemare wore the “A” as an alternate captain. … F Jayson Megna made his Avalanche debut after being recalled from the Colorado Eagles of the AHL. … Colorado F Colin Wilson was scratched with a lower-body injury.

DETROIT — Dylan Larkin scored and led a defensive effort to slow down Connor McDavid.

Larkin and Patrik Nemeth had goals in the first period, and the Cheap Detroit Red Wings Jerseys defeated the Cheap Edmonton Oilers Jerseys 3-1 Tuesday night to end an eight-game losing streak.

Larkin had the challenge of being on the ice when McDavid was skating for much of the night and responded well enough to hold the superstar to one assist and three shots.

“I thought Larkin’s line did a really good job on McDavid until the second half of the third period,” Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. “Larks plays his best hockey when he matches up against other teams’ best.”

Jimmy Howard made 31 saves for the Red Wings, who won for the first time since Oct. 10 against Montreal.

“I guess it’s a relief for us,” Larkin said.

Larkin converted on a power play 7:41 into the game, lifting the puck from the front of the crease. Nemeth, who signed as a free agent last summer, scored his first goal with the Red Wings less than a minute later.

“We knew they were going to come out fast because of their losing streak, and then we let them get a couple goals early on,” Edmonton center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins said. “I thought we fought our way back into the game, but we have got to find a way to score.”

A long scoreless stretch for both teams ended with 7:12 left when Leon Draisaitl scored from the right circle to pull Edmonton within one.

Edmonton had a 4-on-3 power play shortly thereafter but could not take advantage despite McDavid and Draisaitl putting shots on net.

“All their lines and their defensemen can skate,” McDavid said. “And, they do a good job of clutching and grabbing to clog up the middle.”

The Oilers entered the game as the Cheap NHL Jerseys No. 1 team on the power play and ended it scoreless with the man advantage for the first time this season when earning three or more power plays.

“Our goalie was our best player,” Larkin said. “We needed that.”

Filip Hronek added an empty-net goal late to seal a much-needed victory for the rebuilding Red Wings.

Mikko Koskinen stopped 25 shots for the Oilers, who have dropped four of their last five after opening the season 7-1.

Koskinen, who entered 5-0, gave up two goals on the first seven shots he faced before keeping his team in the game.

Speedy forward Andreas Athanasiou had a pair of breakaways for Detroit and was denied each time by Koskinen.

“It’s a heck of a lot harder to chase a game than it is to play with the lead,” Oilers coach Dave Tippett said. “That’s just how this game is built right now. It’s frustrating, but this wasn’t a lack of effort. We’ve just got to find some scoring in our lineup somewhere.”

Game notes
Oilers general manager Ken Holland, who left Detroit when Steve Yzerman was hired to replace him earlier this year, was given an ovation during an early break in the game. … Detroit assigned RW Evgeny Svechnikov to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins and recalled Joe Hicketts from the Griffins. … Detroit removed LW Adam Erne from injured reserve and put LW Justin Abdelkader on IR retroactive to Oct. 23. … McDavid played in his 300th NHL game.

LOS ANGELES — Kawhi Leonard is only four games into his tenure back home in Los Angeles, and Paul George is still several games away from his Cheap Los Angeles Clippers Jerseys debut. Everybody is still getting to know each other on this reconfigured roster.

The Clippers have enough talent to keep stacking victories during this introductory process — particularly against teams like the Cheap Charlotte Hornets Jerseys, who have even more work to do.

Leonard had 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Lou Williams scored 23 points one day after his 33rd birthday in Los Angeles’ 111-96 victory over Charlotte on Monday night.

Montrezl Harrell scored eight of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, and Landry Shamet added 16 in the Clippers’ third win in four games to start a season with championship aspirations.

After following up their impressive season-opening victories over the Lakers and the Warriors with a shocking 130-122 loss to the Cheap Phoenix Suns Jerseys two days ago, the Clippers managed to play enough defense in the second half to secure a comfortable win over the young Hornets. Their last two performances have been nowhere near complete, but the Clippers are working through it.

“There’s so many things that we can get better in,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. “And you just see them, like screening, timing, knowing where each other is at. There’s so many new parts on the floor, and I just feel like we’re nowhere near what we’re going to be. Not even close, and that’s a good thing. But during that time, you’ve still got to win games. You’re in the West. You’ve just still got to tick off wins.”

The Clippers pulled away with a 16-5 run spanning the final two quarters, stretching their lead to 96-79 with 7 1/2 minutes to play. Charlotte made an 11-2 surge, cutting the lead to single digits on Miles Bridges’ 3-pointer with 4:16 left, but Harrell and Williams made big shots down the stretch.

“We’ve got to come in every game with a defensive hat on first, and we did that tonight,” Leonard said. “It’s still early. We’ve got a long road ahead of us. We’re still building chemistry, getting to know each other on the floor. I wouldn’t say we’re there yet. We’ve got to keep going.”

Terry Rozier had 17 points to lead six Hornets scoring in double figures in the second game of a four-game trip. Devonte Graham had 14 points and 12 assists, while Cody Zeller added 14 points and 13 rebounds for Charlotte, which has lost three straight after a season-opening win over Chicago.

“I like the way we competed against two of the better teams in the league,” Charlotte coach James Borrego said. “We played even better tonight. Probably our best performance of the year defensively.”

Indeed, Charlotte appeared to have more favorable defensive matchups against these Staples Center co-tenants than they did against the Lakers. But one night after the Hornets managed only 39 points in the second half of a loss to the Lakers, they scored only 42 in the second half against the Clippers.

“I feel like we’re growing,” Graham said. “Even (against the Lakers), I feel like we took a step. We came out tonight to fight and be aggressive, but they did a good job on us in the second half.”

RECENT EDGE

The Clippers have won 10 straight over the Hornets at Staples Center since February 2009. Los Angeles has won 10 of its last 11 overall against Charlotte.

KAWHI’S ASSISTS

Leonard has added improved playmaking skills to his already formidable offensive arsenal since arriving in LA. Two days after setting a career high with 10 assists in Phoenix — which surpassed his previous career high of nine, set two days before that against Golden State — he had five in the first half against Charlotte, including a sublime bounce pass through traffic to Ivica Zubac shortly before halftime.

TIP-INS

Hornets: Zeller sported a bandage on the cut above his left eye from his mutual elbowing with Davis in their loss to the Lakers on Sunday night. … Malik Monk scored 15 points.

Clippers: Zubac had a career-high five blocked shots. … Shamet surpassed his season high with four 3-pointers in the first six minutes of the game. … George is out for at least six more games while he recovers from a shoulder injury, but Rivers said they consult frequently about potential offensive sets that will benefit George.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Rookie Ja Morant had the best game of his young career and veteran Jae Crowder hit a game-winner to make the Cheap Memphis Grizzlies Jerseys first victory of the season memorable.

Crowder’s 3-pointer from the top of the key as time expired in overtime lifted the Grizzlies to a 134-133 win over the Cheap Brooklyn Nets Jerseys on Sunday night.

“We’ve been playing well these first two games,” Crowder said of losses to Miami and Chicago. “We put five quarters together and came out with a win.”

The winning shot was possible after Spencer Dinwiddie split a pair of free throws with 7.4 seconds left, Grizzlies reserve Solomon Hill grabbing the rebound when the second shot was missed.

After a Nets foul in the backcourt, Memphis inbounded the ball with 3.7 seconds left. Morant, who led the Grizzlies with 30 points, dribbled behind his back as he crossed half court, then handed out his ninth assist, shuffling a pass to the trailing Crowder for the 28-foot game-winner.

“I believe in Jae the whole way, and he delivered for us,” Morant, the second pick in last summer’s Cheap NBA Jerseys Draft, said of the winning basket.

“Anytime you lose at the buzzer, it’s always a tough loss,” Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said.

Dillon Brooks scored 21 points and Jonas Valanciunas had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Morant also blocked Kyrie Irving’s 17-footer at the end of regulation to keep the score tied at 120-all.

Crowder’s winning 3-pointer was his second basket of the game, as he finished with six points. His previous 3-pointer came with 1:09 left as Memphis took its first lead of overtime at 131-128.

Irving finished with 37 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Nets. Caris LeVert added 27 points, Dinwiddie had 16 points on 3-for-13 shooting from the field.

“What a game, huh?” Grizzlies first-year coach Taylor Jenkins said. “. Obviously, to get our first win of the season it took a complete team effort.”

Morant led that “team effort,” helping Memphis reach overtime by scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter. Morant’s layup — his final points of the period — tied the score at 120 with 7 seconds left. He blocked Irving on the ensuing possession as time ran out in regulation.

“I head-faked,” Irving said. “I tried to shoot a fade. He’s got long arms. He got a good contest on it and blocked the shot.”

TIP-INS

Nets: DeAndre Jordan started for the first time this season, replacing Jarrett Allen, who opened the first two games at center. Allen entered midway through the first quarter. … LeVert started the game missing his first six shots, but finished 11 of 22. … Irving has scored at least 20 points in 11 of the 12 games he has played against the Grizzlies. … Brooklyn has lost eight straight road openers. The franchise’s last win in a road opener was in 2011 against Washington.

Grizzlies: Valanciunas knocked down a 3-pointer in the first quarter, the first of the season for the 7-footer. Then he hit another a minute later, matching his career-high for 3-pointers made in a game. … Rookie F Brandon Clarke, listed as questionable with back soreness, played. … Memphis has led at halftime in all three games this season. … Morant was 13 of 22 from the field for the game and 21 of his points came after halftime.

GAME BALL

After Crowder’s game-winning basket, the ball ended up on the opposite end of the court from the Grizzlies’ bench. Assistant coach Brad Jones sprinted down the court to grab it. In the Grizzlies locker room, the ball was presented to Jenkins in recognition of his first win as an NBA coach.

ENDORSING JENKINS

Atkinson and Jenkins were on the Cheap Atlanta Hawks Jerseys staff together under Mike Budenholzer. Atkinson said the Grizzlies made the correct choice in hiring the Memphis coach. “I know they are really well-coached, I can tell you that,” Atkinson said of the Grizzlies before the game. “I think he’s going to be great. … He’s going to establish a great program. He has a lot of talent to work with. They are going to be a team on the rise, I’m almost sure of it.”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers strong safety Eric Reid wouldn’t use the words “revenge” or “bitter” to describe his feelings about Sunday’s game against unbeaten San Francisco.

“I just don’t forget,” Reid said Wednesday about facing his former team as the Panthers (4-2) prepared for the 49ers (6-0).

This will be Reid’s first game as an opponent at San Francisco, where he first took a knee with quarterback Colin Kaepernick in 2016 and was not re-signed following the 2017 season after filing a collusion grievance against the NFL.

From the end of the 2017 season until the Panthers signed him in late September 2018, Reid went unsigned after the NFLPA filed a grievance on his behalf, accusing the league of blackballing him for taking a knee during the national anthem to protest social injustice.

This past offseason, the Panthers signed Reid to a new three-year deal worth slightly more than $22 million. He has kneeled during the anthem before every game at Carolina.

Kaepernick, who also filed a grievance against the NFL, hasn’t played since the 2016 season. Both players’ grievances against the league have been settled.

All of that factors into how Reid feels about the San Francisco organization that made him the 18th pick of the 2013 draft.

“Definitely the way Colin was treated. Definitely the way I feel like I was treated there,” Reid said when talking about his emotions toward the team. “The way they run the organization. Ask anybody who has been there and they’ll tell you the same.”

Reid also wasn’t happy the 49ers moved him from strong safety to a hybrid safety/linebacker position in 2017 to replace linebacker NaVorro Bowman, who was released after the team failed to meet his request for a trade.

“I remember they changed my position in a contract year,” said Reid, selected to the Pro Bowl at safety as a rookie. “I remember they released NaVorro, who led the league in tackles [in 2015], and asked me to play his position.

“They told me it was best for the team. I disagreed. I thought the NFL tackling leader was best for the team, but I did what I was told.”

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — After a whirlwind 24 hours, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders spent Wednesday getting used to his new home with the San Francisco 49ers — one of two undefeated teams remaining in the NFL.

The 49ers acquired Sanders and a 2020 fifth-round pick from the Cheap Denver Broncos Jerseys on Tuesday, sending a 2020 third- and fourth-round pick back in exchange.

About three hours after the deal was complete, Sanders was on a plane to the Bay Area, ready to take a crash course in coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

Apparently, the new surroundings — namely, going from a two-win team to a six-win team — were much needed.

“It feels good [to be here],” Sanders said Wednesday. “Obviously, I’ve got a lot of love for the Broncos. I spent six years there, won a Super Bowl there and I love that organization. But to be a 49er, it’s like a new energy and new environment. It reminds me of when I left the Steelers and went to the Broncos.

“I needed a change of scenery, and it feels good to have a change of scenery. And what a great locker room the 49ers have here. I’m just trying to come in and bring even more positive energy and bring another spark to this offense.”

After weeks of trade rumors, Sanders said he met with Broncos president/general manager John Elway after a Week 6 win against the Cheap Tennessee Titans Jerseys and they mutually agreed it was time for the receiver to move on.

“Me and John had a conversation in terms of the direction that I wanted to go and me expressing that,” Sanders said. “He listened. And hearing that, hearing the trade rumors, I think we both decided that it was best for me to go. You know, we got two more years left — or three more years left — of playing Cheap Football Jerseys, and I’m trying to win a championship, and obviously, we’ve got a young locker room over there. So we both made the decision that if a trade comes about, that he would keep me posted and possibly trade me.”

Sanders, who is expected to play against the Cheap Carolina Panthers Jerseys on Sunday, went right to work upon arrival in Santa Clara around 9 p.m. Tuesday. Receivers coach Wes Welker, who was a former teammate of Sanders’ in Denver, greeted him at the hotel.

Welker began feeding him information for a few hours before Sanders went to sleep. Sanders woke up at 5 a.m. to take a physical and attend a wideout meeting at 7:20 a.m. before a walkthrough, more meetings and an afternoon practice.

Sanders said Shanahan’s offensive scheme is about 90% the same as what he had in Denver under offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, who spent the past two years as the Niners’ quarterbacks coach.

Aside from diving into the playbook, Sanders has had just enough time to meet his new teammates and coaches. Shanahan, in particular, left quite an impression with his choice of footwear.

“Getting here and just seeing how he is, seeing he’s very laid back. Funny guy, light on his toes,” Sanders said. “I noticed in the team meeting. I was like, ‘I can’t wait to get home and tell my wife that the head coach is wearing Yeezys.’ I was like, that’s cool. That’s one cool coach.

“The environment here is just so light, but at the end of the day, we have a concentration and we have a focus on the task at hand. I can tell that his team is a reflection of him, and it’s cool to see.”

Before the Niners and Broncos played last season, Shanahan heaped praise on Sanders. On Wednesday, Shanahan gave further insight into how long he has coveted his new wide receiver.

“Emmanuel has been a guy that I have personally wanted since probably the last eight years, since he became a free agent in Pittsburgh,” Shanahan said. “I was a huge fan of him coming out in the draft and everything he’s done since. … I’m pumped he’s here.”

Shanahan declined to offer any clues on how he will use Sanders, but he did acknowledge Sanders “can do it all” and is versatile enough to play any of the team’s wideout spots.

Scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent after the season, Sanders figures to be at least a 10-game rental for the Cheap San Francisco 49ers Jerseys.

“Once I become a free agent, [winning is] going to factor in a lot,” Sanders said. “A lot of people don’t understand. Yeah, the money’s good. I’ve made my fair share of that. I think it’s about happiness. It’s about, ‘Is it worth it?’ … I love playing football. I love being happy. I love playing games. I think that’s going to be the ultimate deciding factor in where I go.”

Carolina coach Ron Rivera said he was not worried about Reid’s emotions being a factor when reminded of the heated exchange between Reid and Malcolm Jenkins during last year’s game at Philadelphia.

An assistant coach and official had to restrain Reid away from the Cheap Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys safety during player introductions. After the game, Reid called Jenkins a “sellout” because Jenkins stopped kneeling after the Cheap NFL Jerseys donated $100 million to the Players Coalition for causes important to the coalition.

“Guys play for whatever their reasons are, and Eric has his own reason,” Rivera said. “Eric will do what he does. He’s a professional. He gets on the field and plays the game the way it needs to be played. I’m not worried about Eric.”

Forward Taurean Prince has signed a two-year, $29 million contract extension with the Cheap Brooklyn Nets Jerseys, Steve Heumann of CAA Sports told ESPN.

Prince, who was traded to the Nets from Atlanta in June, was eligible for his rookie contract extension as part of the Cheap NBA Jerseys 2016 draft class.

Heumann and Dave Spahn negotiated the deal for CAA Sports, along with Richard Beda.

The two-year deal will allow Prince to have chance at unrestricted free agency at 28 years old — still in the prime of his career.

PLAYA VISTA, Calif. — After being cautious and playing in just two preseason games, Kawhi Leonard will have no limitations on him when he makes his Cheap Los Angeles Clippers Jerseys debut on Tuesday against the Cheap Los Angeles Lakers Jerseys.

Coach Doc Rivers said there will be no playing-time cap on his new star forward when Leonard faces LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the highly anticipated season opener between the Clippers and Lakers.

Leonard played a total of 33 minutes this preseason, averaging 10 points, four assists and 1.5 rebounds in two games. He logged 10 minutes and had seven points and six assists in his preseason debut against Denver before playing 22 minutes against Dallas and scoring 13 points while shooting 5-for-19 from the field.

Leonard said he felt much better entering this training camp than a year ago when he came off a quad injury that limited him to a total of nine games during the 2017-18 season in San Antonio. He played in a total of 60 regular-season games last season as the Cheap Toronto Raptors Jerseys monitored his health with load management. That allowed him to play 24 postseason games and help him win NBA Finals MVP and lead the Raptors to their first championship.

Leonard said his playing time and health would be managed differently this season and he largely paced himself in the preseason as the Clippers played it safe. Besides playing in two preseason games, he participated in scrimmages, including an open practice in front of fans last week.

Leonard has set the tone for other players with his all-business workouts, including going through a long workout on Saturday.

“It’s hard to explain,” Rivers said of Leonard’s work ethic. “He’s maniacal and it’s long and it’s very serious. I think for the young guys, even for our young coaches, like the seriousness that he takes his workouts [with], I’ve seen a couple of players that I won’t name that I’ve had, but other than that I haven’t seen anything like that. He’s not goofing around. He’s getting it done. No chat. It’s work time. He approaches practices that way, and I think it gives a lot of guys a serious focus that a coach can’t give you — only your best player can give you.”

Although he hasn’t had to play much in the preseason, Leonard is ready to help lead the Clippers deep into the playoffs. Expectations are higher than they’ve ever been for the Clippers, who are title contenders with Leonard and Paul George joining an overachieving and gritty group from last season. George is continuing to work his way back toward a possible November return from surgeries on both of his shoulders.

“Just here to help win games,” Leonard said of his presence. “Try to build a culture of winning and making everybody know that we’re playing ’til April [focused on regular season first and then postseason] and that’s pretty much it. Just trying to be the smartest team every night and try to build on something.”

“I feel like everybody wants to win,” Leonard added. “Everybody is a competitor. You know, how are we going to respond after big wins, tough losses, missed shots, that is what it’s about. Just keeping a steady mindset on the ultimate goal and not getting discouraged when things go bad or things get too good.”

Prince averaged 13.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists last season. During the preseason, Prince averaged a team-high 16.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

Prince played college ball at Baylor.

The Nets will open the regular season on Wednesday against Minnesota.

Cross another big name off the list of restricted free agents next summer: Center Nico Hischier and the Cheap New Jersey Devils Jerseys have come together on a seven-year deal worth $50.75 million.

Hischier, 20, was the first overall pick in the 2017 NHL draft. He has two assists in six games this season, having missed Thursday’s victory over the Cheap New York Rangers Jerseys with an injury. The Swiss-born center has 37 goals and 64 assists in 157 career Cheap NHL Jerseys games.

Cheap Toronto Maple Leafs Jerseys captain John Tavares will miss at least two weeks because of a broken finger.

The Maples Leafs announced the news Thursday, one day after Tavares suffered the injury in a 4-3 loss to the Cheap Washington Capitals Jerseys.

Tavares will be re-examined in two weeks, according to the team, meaning he would likely miss Toronto’s next six games.

Tavares, 29, has three goals and four assists in eight games this season, his second with the Maple Leafs.

“I like the direction the organization is going in, and the confidence they give me is all a player can ask for,” Hischier said. “We have a young, exciting team, and I am driven to try my best to help the team succeed every day. I was really welcomed here from day one, and I have always felt that I wanted to be part of the Devils.”

General manager Ray Shero said he is glad to have Hischier’s deal done.

“Nico is a special person who possess a team-first mentality combined with an inner drive to succeed,” Shero said. “The entire organization is thankful to him and his family for believing in our future. We are excited that he will continue to play a prominent role with us for many years to come.”

The contract carries an average annual value of $7.25 million. The first season (2020-21) has a base salary of $7 million; Hischier will make $8.5 million in the final season (2026-27).

Hischier joins several young NHL players who have signed contract extensions ahead of restricted free agency in June 2020. That includes Chicago forward Alex DeBrincat (three years, $6.4 million AAV), Arizona’s Clayton Keller (eight years, $7.15M AAV), Ottawa defenseman Thomas Chabot (eight years, $8M AAV) and Colorado defenseman Samuel Girard (seven years, $5M AAV).

This trend comes after last summer’s restricted free-agent tension, as several star players waited until weeks before the season to sign. One of those players — Carolina’s Sebastian Aho — inked an offer sheet with Montreal that was later matched by the Hurricanes.

With Hischier signed, the Devils have secured a part of their foundation, but the question remains whether winger Taylor Hall — Hischier’s linemate — will remain a part of that foundation. Hall is due to be an unrestricted free agent next summer, and would be coveted if he hits the market.
